“When I was younger I always wanted to be a hairdresser but then as I got older I had convinced myself that I wouldn’t be able to do it. 20 years later I find myself grooming dogs! This wouldn’t have been possible without the encouragement, support and kindness from the team at Pampers. 6 months on and I’m busier than I could have imagined, with my doors closed to new dogs. I have made some mistakes but the positive feedback I’ve had from clients has been amazing. One even had their dog stopped on the beach to ask where they had their dog groomed! “After being made redundant I was at a complete loss for what to do next. I wanted a job that I would enjoy doing and was up for a challenge to learn something new. My training at Pampers provided me with the knowledge, skills and hands on experience to succeed in dog grooming. Since completing my course i have gone on to start my own business as a mobile dog groomer. I am enjoying the whole adventure so far, I'm growing in confidence and building up regular customers. It is hard work but very rewarding when you see the owners happy faces.

Thanks again for making my dream become possible. I was fortunate that after the course I went to work with one of the Pampers students, Carla Dunn. It is always a joy to be around like minded people. And I was really lucky in that sense. So far, it has been an amazing journey working as a groomer. I was so happy that I wanted to give a big hug to the owner when she said it is the best haircut the doggy has ever had.
